06/14/2018 – Nightingale's VR Showroom at NeoCon 2018

We've gone virtual!

This year, we decided to focus on storytelling—the story of Nightingale to be exact.

Most people know that we're a contract chair manufacturing company, but what most don't know is that we're also 100% Landfill Free—or that we offer standard 3 weeks of paid vacation or the average person has been at Nightingale for a minimum of 15 years. With a growing company like ours, we take care of our people because they're the reason Nightingale is successfully delivering high-quality products and customer care.

Our decision to be truly transparent has allowed our clients, reps, and dealers to feel more connected to our company.

In case you missed us at NeoCon, our showroom is available through VR:  https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=ZFj11LL5tLq

03/08/2018 – Nightingale Named Canada's Top 50 Best Managed Companies

Nightingale has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 50 Best Managed Companies (BMC) for outstanding overall business performance and growth. Now in its 25th year, Canada’s BMC is the country’s leading business awards program.

Compiled by Deloitte in partnership with Maclean's magazine, this national business awards program recognizes Canadian-owned companies that demonstrate strong ethics, strategy, and commitment to achieve continuous growth. Each year, hundreds of ambitious companies undergo a rigorous application process, but only the best are awarded this prestigious designation.

"Being amongst the best in class requires more than financial performance," said Lorrie King, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada's Best Managed Program. "Achieving sustained growth and strong overall business performance is the result of the combined efforts and commitment of the entire organization."

For 90 years, Nightingale has been advocating equality in the workplace—whether it's age, gender, race, or disabilities. "The most important attribute of a successful company is [the] people. We're grateful to have such a talented, diverse team who all work together towards the same goal," said Edward Breen, President.

With health and wellness as one of Nightingale's guiding principles, they aim to enhance the user's experiences to live and work comfortably with a product that's environmentally friendly and extremely durable. "Last year at NeoCon, we partnered up with the Urban Beehive Project and used our showroom as a platform to highlight the importance of bees in sustainability and food security," said Breen. "Our company has always honored the environment by carefully reducing our carbon footprint during production. We also care about the rights and beliefs of our people, customers, and suppliers.”

Nightingale will be attending the 2018 Canada's BMC awards gala on April 11th in Toronto, ON. The gala will also be accompanied by a panel discussion which will address the major business concerns that are key to helping current leaders to be successful and thrive in their respective industries.

09/01/2017 – Google Map PR

Virtualized Nightingale NeoCon Showroom

In case you missed us at NeoCon in Chicago, we’ve teamed up with Google Maps and virtualized our bee-friendly showroom for an enhanced viewing experience. We’ve been loving how technology has pushed us beyond paper and helped put us on the map—both figuratively and literally!

Our unwavering commitment to quality seating product designs and ergonomic comfort is the foundation of which Nightingale is built on. This year, instead of putting our products in the spotlight, we decided to command the attention of a much larger audience to show our support for the Urban Beehive Project (UBP). The UBP was developed and designed by the BGHJ Architects in Prince Edward Island, CA. Nightingale has always been environmentally-conscious—being a waste-free facility, we wanted to help raise awareness about the declination of the bees and their impact on local and global sustainability.

It was an amazing concept in which it gave us a unique way to connect with our community. We loved the results and the continued support. For that, we have our strong team and loyal reps and dealers to thank.

08/16/2016 – Nightingale supports Urban Beehive Project

In an effort to support local communities with their environmental initiatives, Nightingale is sponsoring the largest Urban Beehive Project in Canada. A local task force comprised of community leaders, local architects and designers from Charlottetown will unveil this environmental initiative. This is the first beehive structure specifically designed to be placed in a public park, featured to protect honey bees as well as produce local honey. The giant beehive will be making a vibrant presence to local residents and businesses. The structure is the first of several that will house beehives as part of the Urban Beehive Project, created by architects Murray and Stojak. The bees will arrive next week. Locals are free to check the structures out, but the grand opening with both structures will be in mid-August. The honey made by the bees will be donated to the food bank and soup kitchen. “We are an agriculture based country, and as such we rely heavily on the wellbeing of bees as they pollinate our crops from Coast to Coast”, say Egon Szenttamasy, VP of Sales in Canada. Nightingale is proud to be an environmentally friendly manufacturer, and a sponsor and supporter of green initiatives across the globe.
